Hi Motivated Learners,

Over the next fifteen weeks, we’re going to be talking about weather and climate as it relates to our daily life. We’re going to be focusing on the understanding and applications of meteorological and climatic principles using basic terminology and techniques of atmospheric science. As weather and climate topics become more and more inevitable part of our daily lives, we will cover earth-sun relation and climate; overview of the Earth's atmosphere; energy, temperature, moisture, precipitation and wind; severe-weather events; global climate and climate change; and air pollution. 

Weather and Climate shape the industries of agriculture and fisheries, energy and transport, health, insurance, sports, tourism and many other socio-economic areas. Basic knowledge on this subject not only helps you to begin your career in any of the above-mentioned sectors, but also makes you aware on how these interrelations impact your personal environment.
